DeLallo Lady Fingers, Savoiardi

24 count - makes half tiramisu recipe. Since 1950. Savoiardi or Lady Fingers as they are most commonly known have their origins in the Italian province of Piedmonte. This mountainous area surrounded by the peaks of the Alps was once part of Savoy which in Italian is written as Savoia, hence the name Savoiardi. The recipe for this light, crisp & airy dessert is very basic, but has been passed down and perfected for centuries among the people of this region. Savoiardi is most commonly known as the base ingredient for Tiramisu, but has many other uses as a pastry ingredient and often served with pudding, espresso and gelato. We at DeLallo take pride in offering a true artisan Savoiardi to promote the integrity and rich tradition of Italian cuisine. Thank you and enjoy. Made in Italy.
